Barossa Valley

The fruit for my Rhône-inspired Roussanne is grown on David Materne's vineyard in the Barossa subregion of Greenock. The grape is suited to the warm conditions and sparse soils of the Barossa, producing a dry, delicate and lifted floral wine.

The single vineyard Barossa Valley Shiraz comes from Evan and Tina Gobell’s Stonewell Road vineyard which sits at 255m elevation on red loam over clay peppered with ironstone. It has a gentle westerly aspect and is pruned to grow low yielding, early ripening and intensely flavoured fruit.
