2019 Michael Hall Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir, Piccadilly & Lenswood
Walk from the bottom to the top of Bastard Hill and you’ll know how this Piccadilly vineyard got its name. Together with the Mawson Road site in Lenswood these elevated vineyards provide the cool conditions fundamental to this sublime variety.
Low winter rainfall with blustery weather during flowering resulted in a very small crop. Hand-picked on the 4th and 15th of March, wild yeast fermented in open fermenter and closed puncheons, 47% whole bunch, matured for 11 months in French oak (25% new). Unfined.
1560 bottles produced. Limited to 6 bottles per person.
