2020 Michael Hall Barossa Valley Roussanne, Greenock
The Roussanne grape owes its name to the reddish or russet bloom it develops on its skin as it reaches full maturity. This grape is late ripening and ideally suited to the Barossa climate vintage.
Low rainfall throughout winter and the subsequent growing season led to a very small crop. Hand-picked on the 2nd of March, whole-bunch pressed, wild yeast barrel fermented, matured for nine months on lees in French oak puncheons. Fined, filtered and bottled.
1570 bottles produced.
